AARP International

AARP International’s The Journal is a prestigious publication created to share results of age-related initiatives and for AARP to expand the visibility and impact of their own work. It is read by thought leaders, policy makers and academics around the world. The cross-media design solution is anchored by a printed publication and includes a companion website, HTML email series and direct mail promotions. The recent redesign allows for a more refined and sophisticated visual approach focusing on concepts illustrating the central theme of each edition and individual story features with engaging information graphics, illustrations and photography. The pacing of content of imagery and use of an efficient grid layout was essential in the success of the design and a 20% reduction in page count. Designed collaboratively while at Levine and Associates—Design Director, Marco Javier.
